It is considered the traditional Christmas cake but unlike the British Fruit Cake, this one is purely halal cos it doesn't laced with rum or brandy. This cake is truly a wonderful combination of dried fruits and walnuts with barely enough cake batter to hold it all together. It is jammed with raisins, currants, dried cranberries, dried apricots and cherries, glace cherries, pineapple cubes, candied ginger and mixed peels together with walnuts.
